Christer er fagansvarlig for filmsjangre i Store Norske Leksikon. / Christer is author and editor of the film genre section in the Great Norwegian Encyclopedia.
Christer wrote the book about the history and aesthetics of Norwegian horror, Norwegian Nightmares: The Horror Cinema of a Nordic Country (Edinburgh University Press, 2022). He has also published books about the making and significance of the modern Norwegian horror classic Dark Woods (Falck Forlag, 2024) and the British hard rock band Iron Maiden (Fonthill Media, 2025). He is currently developing a book about genre entertainment in films and series for Cappelen Damm Akademisk, and he is author and editor of the film genres category in the Great Norwegian Encyclopedia. In the field of performing arts, Christer has authored several stage plays and released many albums with the music projects Keldian and Madam Curie.
