About

Dominik Osinski is an Associate Professor specializing in the design of Sensory Substitution Systems. 

He invented the Colorophone system, a novel sensory substitution device that converts visual information into sound (use stereo headphones).

The further development and evaluation of the Colorophone system formed the core of his doctoral research. For more information, see

Dominik is a TEDx Trondheim speaker, and his work has been featured in Norwegian and international media.

One of his papers was chosen among the best papers that made original and high impact contributions in human factors and organizational issues in biomedical informatics. 

Over the years, he has taught various courses on sensor system development and has been responsible for the master's specialization in smart sensor systems.

He is also a study adviser for ELSYS students.
