Erik Johansen is a political scientist with a specialization in public policy and administration, with an intrest in stratigic leadership and the development of higher education, as well as political theory as an entry point for studying the management of resources. 

He works as an adviser in corporate governance at the Section for Development and Governance at NTNU (Trondheim). 

Johansen works with corporate governance, anual raporting, compliance and AI-governance. 

He is the coordinator for the Governance Cluster for Generative AI at NTNU (wich coordinates and oversees the use of generative AI at the university).

• Board meber and deputy chair of the Studendt Welfare Organisation in Gjøvik, Ålesund and Trondhiem - Sit (2024-2026).
• NOU - Committe on Artifical Intelligence in Higher Education/ The Malthe-Sørenssen Committe (2025-2026)
