Section for Development and Governance - Department for Development and Governance
About the Section for Development and Governance
Section for Development and Governance
The section follows up on decisions from the rector and the board concerning governance at NTNU. It also ensures that NTNU has good governance at the institutional and system level and handles enterprise architecture, sector collaboration, and the administration of shared services and systems. The section is also the process owner for the governance process.
It has an overarching responsibility for administration and compliance with laws, regulations and requirements at NTNU. The section makes sure that new directives are acted upon and coordinates work to guarantee compliance across the organization. This includes, among other things, cross‑cutting requirements such as privacy, universal design, and language standards. The section also provides legal assistance in most areas of law, except for HR and education.
The section is also responsible for managing shared services and systems, including service‑owner (FDVu) responsibilities. This applies to services and systems that are not owned by the IT Division.
In addition, the section contributes to larger development projects concerning leadership, organization, services and digital transformation. We facilitate processes and projects that deliver lasting change and a more efficient, future‑oriented organization.
