Research

My interest is in understanding how people's genetic background and environment - as well as their combinaison - can influence specific phenotypes.

Currently, my research focuses in the identification of new genetic variants associated with different phenotypes in the HUNT cohort and other biobank.
I am using diverse biological and epidemiological tools such as genome-wide association studies, Mendelian Randomization, polygenic risk scores and gene-environment interaction studies.
