CV

Ph.D. in Energetics (Politecnico di Torino) and joint Ph.D. in Architecture (NTNU). My work bridges architecture, engineering, and energy systems, with a focus on design and control of energy-efficient buildings and building technology. I specialize in building envelope performance, renewable energy integration, and zero-emission concepts, combining experimental research with advanced modeling and simulation.

Expertise spans thermal and energy analysis, HVAC and lighting systems, indoor environmental quality, responsive façade technologies, building monitoring and control systems.

I have held scientific responsibility and coordination as principal investigator and local research unit manager for national projects (Research Council of Norway) and international projects (EU H2020/ Horizon Europe). I currently serve as Coordinator for the ZEB Laboratory (national research infrastructure) and lead the academic group Energy and Environment (10 faculty members, 25+ research staff) at the Department of Architecture and Technology of NTNU.

Author of 100+ peer-reviewed publications; active in international collaborations (IEA Annexes, COST Actions) and reviewer for leading journals.
