About

Background

Gemma Goodall has been an Assosicate Professor in Health Sciences at the Department of Mental Health since 2022. Originally from the UK, Gemma moved to Norway in 2017 to pursue a PhD in Medical Technology, in which she focused on the use of digital media to promote narrative identity in dementia care. While she has a PhD in Medical Technology, Gemma's background is in music. She is a pianist and has a Master's degree in Music Psychology. 

Current work

Currently, Gemma is the leader of the research group "Diversity, Inclusion and Participation", and her recent research activities have focused on the inclusion of people with disabilities in higher education and working life. She has been working with the research project "Pathways to the world of work for students with disabilities in higher education" since 2021.
