I am a Ph.D. student in the Research Division of Biopolymer and Biomaterials at the Department of Biotechnology and Food Science. I am part of the CAZyme Structure and Function group, led by Gaston Courtade. 

My academic background is in biology, with a bachelor's and master's degree in biology from Heinrich-Heine-University in Düsseldorf, Germany. During my master's, I specialized in synthetic biology and biotechnology, focusing on modifying the specificity of various O-acetyltransferases using a synthetic biology approach (more).
