About

Kristoffer Eggestad is a PhD-candidate in the Functional Materials and Materials Chemistry group (FACET) at NTNU. His research is mainly on ferroelectric domain walls for nanoelectronics using density functional theory (DFT) simulations.

Supervisor: Professor Sverre M. Selbach

Background

In 2016, Kristoffer started at the 5-year master's degree program called Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at NTNU. He specialized in Materials Chemistry and Energy Technology and further in Functional Materials and Nanomaterials. In the spring of 2021, he wrote his master's thesis on solid state electrolytes for batteries, using DFT simulations as my main research method.
