Linda Marie Dyrlid
About
- I am a Social Anthropologist, with PhD from NTNU (2017), and have since 2001 been working at the Department for Social Work. In my position as Associate Professor I have been responsible for development and implementation of courses at bachelor and master level for students of social work. A particular interest has been approaches to understanding the processes of marginalisation and integration, as well as adaption of critical, global and intersectional perspectives

My research interests have mainly been in the field of migration/mobility and includes labour market inclusion of refugees with little or no education, narratives of migration and identity construction/ management among Polish labour migrants in Norway (topic for my PhD), work and settlement among migrants in coastal communities in Norway, trafficking in women and children (mechanisms, conditions, rehabilitation, reintegration), and management of stigma and dignity among Romani travellers in Norway.
