About

PhD-projects

I will focus on chemical and chemoenzymatic extraction, modification and characterization of polysaccharides from brown seaweeds. Emphasis will be on developing processes and knowledge valuable for industrial processing. I have a passion for biomaterials and sustainable solutions that could help us reach a circular bioeconomy.

My PhD is part of The Norwegian Seaweed Biorefinery Platform, SBP-N, http://seaweedplatform.no/.

Background

  • BSc Chemical Engineering, MSc Macromolecular Materials ( Chem. Eng.), KTH Royal Institute of Technology
  • Laboratory Engineer working with forest based materials at Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE)
