Research in the field of mineral processing and engineering, physicochemistry of surfaces as well as chemical metallurgy.

Przemyslaw B. Kowalczuk (Pshem) is an author of more than 100 publications in peer-refereed international scientific journals, conference proceedings, invited book chapters, and scientific/industrial reports. He has been extensively working on mineral processing and extractive metallurgy with recent focus on processing of marine minerals and REEs. For his scientific achievements he received many awards. In 2017, he was recognized as a Rising Star in mineral processing, by Dr. Barry Wills from Minerals Engineering International (MEI).

Process mineralogy methodologies were applied for mineral tracking in flotation of rare earth elements (REE)-bearing minerals.

The present work highlighted the main concerns and advances in treating fine and coarse particles, focusing on the flotation cell designs.

Froth flotation of fluorite: A review

The present review sheds new light on the deep understanding of fluorite flotation, the future synthesis of reagents, as well as their schemes in practical use.

Three-phase contact formation between an air bubble and solid surfaces with different hydrophobicity degrees in liquid

The article discusses the mechanism of bubble-solid adhesion in relation to the hydrophobicity and zeta potential of the solid surface.

Recent advances in the treatment and recycling of mineral processing wastewater

This review helps better understanding of the state of the art of MPW management, treatment, and recycling.

Recent advancements in metallurgical processing of marine minerals

We update the information published so far in peer-reviewed and technical literature, and briefly provide the future perspectives for processing of marine mineral deposits.

Amino-acids surfactants and n-octanol mixtures─sustainable, efficient, and dynamically triggered foaming systems

The foaming properties of C12-ALA, C12-LEU, and C12-PHE surfactants mixed with C8OH were thoroughly investigated via surface tension and foamability experiments and complemented by all-atom detail MD simulations.
