Research
Mental health in adolescents
Main focus is health and well-being in adolescents 13-18 years, from public elementary and secondary schools. Some of the research is framed in a health promoting perspective with use of the salutogenic theory
Research focus
- Normative stressors in adolescents daily in association with mental health (symptoms of depression/anxiety, mental wellbeing, satisfaction with life).
- The role of personal coping resources in association with stress, mental health and wellbeing such as:
- Self-esteem
- Sense of coherence
- Self-efficacy
- Resilience
- Psychometric assessment of instruments measuring stress, sense of coherence and life satisfaction
