NTNU Gjøvik is situated in Kallerud, only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Gjøvik, and less than 20 minutes away from the bus and train station.

Gjøvik is located in the central eastern part of Norway, 123 kilometres north of Oslo. Trains and buses run between Gjøvik and Oslo several times a day, with the TIMEkspressen bus service stopping at Gardermoen, Oslo's main international airport. Northbound trains to Trondheim and Bodø can be taken from Lillehammer, only an hour to the north by bus.

Rental car:

If you wish to use a rental car the fastest route is along road E16 towards Roa and then along road 4 to Gjøvik. This route will take approx. 1,5 hours.

City bus in Gjøvik:

The buses B42, B44, B45, B46 and B47 stop by the university.

Parking

For those wo can, we recommend walking, cycling or using public transport to campus.

Students and staff have to register their vehicle in the registration number database at NTNU in order to park in designated areas at campus. Some of the parking spaces has a a parking fee. In the zones with a fee, you pay an NTNU rate of NOK 5 / hour by using the parking app Apcoa Flow or the website Apcoa Parking. This also applies to charging stations.
