The Ocean Grid project just released a video explaining the work done on water trees by one of our PhD students. Water trees are microscopic structures that can appear in certain types of cable and result in catastrophic failure. Prof. Mari-Ann Einarsrud received the "Årets Foreleser" award for providing outstanding lectures in the subject "Inorganic Chemistry" in 2024. Årets Foreleser" (Eng: "Lecturer of the year") is the annual prize awarded by the chemical engineering students (through the student organization Høiskolens Chemikerforening) at NTNU to lecturers that have shown extraordinary scientific and pedagogic qualities.
