Travel and accomodation

Trondheim airport is situated 31 kilometres north of Trondheim. The Airport Express Coach runs between Trondheim city centre and Trondheim airport every 20 minutes. The trip to Trondheim takes about 30 minutes. See Værnes Ekspressen for further details.

By Train

You can also go from Trondheim Airport to Trondheim Central Station by train. There are also regular inter-city or long-distance trains arriving at Trondheim Central Station. Trains from Trondheim to Oslo leave approximately three times a day. The journey takes 7 to 8 hours. See Vy for further details.

Hotel

There are several hotels in downtown Trondheim that you may use, all with walking distance to relevant buses that takes you to Sverresborg Folkemuseum and the NTNU campus at Tyholt. To go by bus in Trondheim, we recommend downloading the AtB app.

Britannia Hotel*****

Located in the city centre and Trondheim's high-end hotel. Britannia first opened in the 1870's and was totally restored and reopened in 2019. The hotel has several restaurants and bars, among them Speilsalen with a Michelin star, a French inspired brasserie, the cutlery restaurant Jonathan, and Palmehaven - both a lunch and restaurant venue.
