About the course
Course content
Writing a project assignment within financial management and economics. In pracice, most groups tend to do a financial valuation of a company.
Learning outcome
Knowledge:
- The students have insight into the academic contexts associated with self-chosen themes or issues
- The students have knowledge of the possibilities and limitations of the research methodology
Skills:
- The students can develop a problem in consultation with the supervisor
- The students can deliver a completed written work that highlights the problem along perspectives that are relevant in the field of financial management
- The students can collaborate in a group of independent professional analyzes over time, and the ability to take advantage of the guidance offered
General competence:
- The students understands what academic qualifications in task writing and research methodology are
- The students know the value of structured argumentation and disposition of subject matter and expertise
Learning methods and activities
Independent work, group work and supervision. Each group can get up to 4 hours of guidance.

The assignment is due at the end of April
Students that fail to turn in the assignment in time can turn it in Apil the following year. If unforseen circumstances occur, for instance disease, students may apply for a postponetment where they turn in the assignment 31st of August.
The Bachelor Thesis is written in groups. The size of the group and further information can be found in BlackBoard. Students may apply to write the assignment as an individual. Such an application is forwarded to the department. If you apply to write as an individual, and you get it approved, the thesis will still be evaluated as if written by a group.

BBOA3010 Corporate Finance
Required previous knowledge
The students must have participated in compulsory courses in the 5th semester as well as compulsory MET3001 course (or equivalent).
