About

About the course

Course content

The course consists of two parts. The first part is a project under supervision and the participation in an ERASMUS Blended Intensive Program (BiP). The topic for the project is determined by the organisers of the BiP.

The second part of the course consists of independent project work and supervision. The topic of the project should be chosen with the supervisor, but should be developed from a topic in Part A of the course (or the content of the ERASMUS BiP)

Learning outcome

Students are able to independently analyse a given topic from mathematics or mathematics didatics. In addition, the students should present the topic according to scientific standards.

Students can independently write a text on a given topic from mathematics or mathematics didactics. The text shows the usual standard of precision common in the scientific field.

Learning methods and activities

The first part of the course consists of participation in the ERASMUS BiP. Students work with projects in supervised groups. The results of the project work are delived for evaluation. The evaluation of the delivered work is taken on the scale Pass/Fail.

In the second part of the course, students work with projects under supervision. The project work is delivered for evaluation. Evaluation is on the scale Pass/Fail.

Further on evaluation

If candidates use tools involving artificial intelligence in their work with exams, they need to include a description of the following items:

-which tools have been used

- how the tools where used in the delivered work

Word for word repetition of AI-generated text should be marked in the delivery such that it is easy to evaluate what is cited and what the candidate produced herself. This also applies to AI-generated pictures, code etc.

Evaluation in the course consists of oral exams in groups and a written assignment, where the evaluation is on the scale pass/fail.
