Course content

The course gives an introduction to the field of work and organisational psychology, with a special emphasise on the work environment, occupational health, leadership and organisational change. These topics will be shed light on by both national and international research on the field.

Learning outcome

Knowledge:
The student has knowledge of theories and concepts in the field of work and organisational psychology, especially in the field of the work environment, occupational health, leadership and organisational change.
The student has knowledge of the history and development of work and organisational psychology.
The student has knowledge on organising principles typical for Norwegian work life.

Skills
The student knows how to use theory and empirical findings on theoretical and practical problems in work life.
The student is capable of contributing in discussions of relevant topics.

General competence
The student has knowledge of different problems, theory and empirical findings in the literature of work and organisational psychology.


Learning methods and activities

Lectures 2 hours per week.
