About the course

Course content

The course will provide an introduction to what workplace learning involves. Several examples will be presented and these examples will be analysed according to theories on competence, learning and change. Selected cases will be examined to link theoretical perspectives to practical workplace practices.

Learning outcome

The student has knowledge about how to plan and implement developmental processes in organisations and how to encourage workplace learning. The student has insight into how one can contribute to forming learning communities in working life.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and seminars. If 10 or fewer students attend the course in the first two weeks of teaching, the course will be given as an individual study course with supervision. Take a look at Blackboard for detailed information about compulsory assignments.
