Course content

The course presents and discusses different research methods that can be used in counselling and adult learning. Theories of science and ethical issues are also presented and discussed. Through discussions about the relationship between theory and empirical data, a number of research plans and strategies are presented. The emphasis on different research methods will vary. The students will acquire knowledge about several different research methods, and in addition acquire in-depth knowledge in one of them. The term paper must be an independent project about a self-chosen research method presented in the course including theories of science and ethical issues connected to it.
