Being a student in Gjøvik

Gjøvik is a picturesque town on the shores of Lake Mjøsa (Norway’s largest lake), with quick and convenient access to the Oslo region. Students make up around ten percent of the population and leave a clear mark on Gjøvik’s culture and lifestyle. NTNU Gjøvik primarily serves the Innlandet region (e.g., Lillehammer, Raufoss) and the greater Oslo area, where many of our graduates work across a wide range of industries. The Gjøvik campus is particularly known for its expertise at the intersection of computer science, cybersecurity, and health sciences, enabling students to develop a tailored professional profile through a variety of specialized and interdisciplinary study programs.
