Did you know that metals can be produced in different ways - from natural raw materials or by recycling scrap metal? Norway is one of the world's leading producers of aluminum, silicon and ferrous alloys.

This specialisation is intended for candidates with a bachelor's degree in materials science and engineering. You can go in depth on topics such as:

  • Metal production, refining and recycling

  • Physical metallurgy and structural properties of materials

  • Corrosion prevention and protection of metals and other materials

  • Solar cells and other functional materials

Material engineers play an important part within all these areas and the job market is strong both in Norway and internationally.
