As a graduate of the ProMan master's programme, you will be well prepared for the job market, with many students securing relevant positions even before completing their degree, and others shortly after graduation. The combination of technical insight and project management skills gives you a solid and versatile foundation for a wide range of career paths.

With this background, you can work across industries such as energy, construction, marine and other industries, trade, services, the public sector, and academia, both in Norway and internationally. Many graduates go on to roles such as project engineer, project manager, management consultant, ERP consultant, or work within engineering and software-related fields.

Meet Crispin. After graduating from ProMan in 2024, Crispin quickly secured a position as a Sales and Project Engineer at a leading pump manufacturer company.

“The MSc in Project Management at NTNU provided me with a strong foundation and positioned me as a competitive candidate in the job market. A summer internship led to a full-time role as a Sales and Project Engineer with a leading pump manufacturer in the maritime and offshore industry. My responsibilities include technical and commercial discussions with clients, as well as system and cost calculations. The programme’s focus on project management techniques and cultural understanding has been particularly useful in a globalized industry.”

Say hello to Kisi.  After graduating from ProMan in 2024, Kisi quickly secured a position as a graduate at an established company that builds infrastructure.

”The application process has been both educational and exciting. The education in project management has given me a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical skills, which have been decisive in my transition to working life.

Among other things, I have learned how to handle projects from start to finish, collaborate with various actors and solve challenges along the way – skills that are directly transferable to my job. Now I am part of a trainee programme in an established company that builds infrastructure, where I get the opportunity to explore different roles and contribute to exciting projects.”

Meet Rebecca. After graduating from ProMan in 2024, Rebecca quickly secured a position as a supply chain graduate at a leading oil and gas company.

“I graduated in the spring of 2024 and started my new job as a supply chain graduate in one of Norway’s leading oil and gas companies. I found that my education was very relevant and sought after in the current work-market, making the application process go smoothly.

One of the most relevant and valuable takeaways from the master’s degree has been NTNU’s approach to project management education; more specifically learning how to plan and execute projects in multidisciplinary teams.”

Meet Andrea. After graduating from ProMan in 2025, Andrea quickly secured a position as a project manager trainee at a leading multi-technical company. 

“I graduated in the spring of 2025 and started my new job as a project manager trainee at a leading multi-technical company in the Nordics. I quickly discovered that my master’s degree combined with my bachelor’s degree had given me highly relevant skills that are in demand in today’s job market, which made the job application process so much smoother than expected. One of the things I appreciated most about the master’s programme at NTNU was the practical and team-oriented approach to project management - particularly the experience of planning, managing, and delivering projects. Now, as part of a trainee programme, I get to try out different roles and be part of exciting projects that really make an impact."

About the work:

During my internship at Framo AS, I worked in the Spare Parts Department within the Marine Division as a Consignment Stock Planner. In this role, I was responsible for ensuring that the right products were available in the right quantities, at the right locations, and at the right time.

My work involved handling urgent customer orders, which required close communication and coordination with customers, warehouses, and the purchasing department. This experience gave me valuable insight into supply chain operations, inventory management, and effective cross-departmental collaboration.
