PhD topic: Design and Dynamic Analysis of Multi-Modular Floating Structures
Details of the PhD project: Multi-modular floating structures are composed of interconnected modules and turn out to be efficient solutions for floating solar power plants, floating islands, and floating hubs design. The goal of this project is to propose guidelines for early design of multi-modular floating structures. To do so, simulation approaches which capture the most dominant physical effects influencing their response in various environmental conditions will be developed. This work will allow a better understanding of the dynamic response of such structures, of the design parameters influencing it, and help to make informed decisions during the design phase.
