The centre will have a strong emphasis on experimental research, requiring extensive laboratory facilities and experimental pilot and industrial campaigns.

NTNU/SINTEF holds a wide range of experimental facilities that will be used: from small scale (<1 g samples) up to pilot scale (> 100 kg sample).
