PhD programme in Artistic Research
PhD Programme in Artistic Research
Art creates new forms of insight, experience, and understanding. It interprets and shapes social communities and is a key element in developing engagement and social awareness. The PhD programme in artistic research centers on the practice of art itself. Through the programme, you can deepen your expertise in performing and creative arts and contribute to the development of the field by reflecting on your own practice.
The programme is interdisciplinary and cross-faculty, offering opportunities for specialization across disciplines through interdisciplinary art projects.
A PhD is the highest level of formal education in Norway and qualifies you for leading roles in higher education and the cultural sector.
