Organization and how we work

The area plan is a result of collaboration between many partners on campus and brad involvement. It is a complex plan with many challenges, and many considerations that must be compared against each other.

Participation

Campus will be developed with the participation of employees, students and other stakeholders. As a part of the planning work, the feasibility study also had several participation measures and activities, in addition to the regular meetings with key stakeholders on campus. You can read more about these in the feasibility study (see link in the text above).

Organization of the planning work

Ålesund municipality is the owner of the area plan. The plan is part of the municipal planning strategy and overall planning. The plan consultant and process manager towards the first draft were Rodeo Architects AS and ÅF Consult AS. They were engaged and financed by the collaboration group.

Working group

A working group has been established. In addition to Ålesund municipality (the planning department) and the planning consultant, the group consists of representatives from the campus in Ålesund, Møre og Romsdal county municipality and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.

The working group has worked together as a team with regular metings. In periods different partners from the county have participated, depending on the topic. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration has devoted considerable resources to road planning. NTNU has followed up the planning work on behalf of all the campus partners. The collaboration group has been the steering group, and they havebeenregularly informed about inputs and new detailed solutions. The working group has joined in on participation meetings and political treatment.

Steering group

The collaboration group was expanded for the development of campus in Ålesund and serves as a steering group for the planning work. The extended collaboration group consist of:

Director NTNU Ålesund (Roar Tobro, from 1.1.2017: Annik Magerholm Fet)

Business manager Ålesund Kommunale Eiendom (ÅKE) (Ole Andreas Søvik)

After the merger: Lindis Burheim at NTNU Property Division
