Welcome to The 9th seminar on Exercise in Medicine

Welcome to Exercise in Medicine

The aim of the 9th seminar on Exercise in Medicine, on December 14-15, 2022, is to present and discuss recent progress in using exercise as medicine, and to preserve and establish networks for current and future research collaborations.

Our last seminar, the 8th seminar on Exercise in Medicine was set up as a three-day international webinar with over 400 online viewers. This year, we gather for an intimate two-day seminar here in Trondheim. The scientific program includes lectures from invited speakers on dementia prevention, cardiac remodeling, biomarkers of cardiovascular health, and the biology and genetics of exercise as medicine as well as updates on ongoing research at our department. This year’s seminar is dedicated to our dear colleague and friend Øyvind Ellingsen (Professor in Cellular Cardiology), who is retiring after a long and interesting career. At his request, we end the seminar with a session on the “Next Frontiers in Exercise as Medicine”. On the evening of December 14, we extend the social program with a poster and dinner party.

The seminar is hosted by CERG at the Department of Circulation and Medical Imaging, at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway.

Tickets are available here.

We are looking forward to seeing you there.
