Leika Aruga
About
My PhD project explores the dynamics of inclusion and exlusion in processes of participation in sustainable urban transformations. Specifically, I am studying the use of digital platforms for participation such as Decidim within the broader ecology of citizen participation. Situated in both gender studies and science and technology studieis (STS), my research is carried out through case studies in Norway and Japan and analysed with an intersectional understanding of power relations.
The research is part of the Sustainable Digital Transformations project under NTNU's Interdisciplinary Sustainable Initiatives.
