Lola Sylvie Annie Rousseau
About
I am a PhD candidate in the Industrial Ecology Programme (IndEcol) - Department of Energy and Process Engineering (EPT) at NTNU. My PhD is supervised by Prof. Edgar Hertwich and co-supervised by Prof. Helge Brattebø.
My work investigates infrastructure, their material use, and embodied greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. My research project focuses more specifically on how resource efficiency can be a tool for local climate action to mitigate GHG emissions in urban planning and development.
Background
I have a background in Engineering (MSc) from Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France), and in Industrial Ecology (MSc) from NTNU. Both degrees were completed in 2020 as part of a double-degree program. My master's thesis was focusing on environmental impact of railway (presented in a webinar organized by NTNU Sustainability, Circular Economy research group).
Before starting the PhD, I worked as a research assistant (July 2020 - July 2021), supervised by Prof. Edgar Hertwich on the construction sector in input-output tables and road infrastructure modelling.
