Internships in Battery Research and Innovation

Internships in Battery Research and Innovation

Students from Norway and abroad have contacted us to explore internship opportunities within FME BATTERY. With more than 40 partners across universities, research institutes, and industry, there are many ways to get involved.

Your path depends on whether the internship is part of your degree. Read the guidance below to understand what applies to you and how to move forward.

A. Is the internship a part of your academic degree?

Some universities require students to complete an internship as an integrated and compulsory part of their studies. If this applies to you:

  • You must have your own funding in place.
  • FME BATTERY research partners can host students and provide structured academic follow‑up and supervision.

This option works well when the internship is formally recognised by your home university.

How to get started

  1. Review our research areas (WP 1-6).
  2. Depending on where you see yourself fit and qualified (can be more than one), send an email that includes a CV, transcripts, a few words describing background and motivation to the e-mail below.

Associate Professor Lamb coordinates internship enquiries in FME BATTERY and can guide you towards suitable partners and opportunities.

B. If the internship is NOT part of your degree

This is the typical route for (Norwegian) students seeking a summer job or research experience outside their formal curriculum.

How to get started

  1. Review our research areas (WP 1-6).
  2. Look for potential openings already posted on this page. If relevant, apply as specified.
  3. If nothing is currently posted on our websites, and depending on where you see yourself fit and qualified (can be more than one), send an email that includes a CV, transcripts, a few words describing background and motivation to the e-mail below.
