User involvement

CIMORe

User involvement

In recognition of the benefits and necessity of user involvement we have, in close dialogue with the Norwegian Cancer Society, established a user panel with two breast cancer and two prostate cancer patients.

The group, which was established in May 2016, provides a bimonthly forum where patients and researchers meet to discuss the planning and the practical carrying-out of research in order to ensure user-involvement becomes a natural part of research activity. The patients provide important questions and insights, and participate in strategic and ethical discussions regarding for example research protocols, quality checks of informed consent, etc.

At CIMORe, we believe that user involvement has the potential to improve not only our research, but also us as researchers.
