NTNU Ocean and Coast is a leading hub for research on oceans, coastal areas, and waterways.
Our interdisciplinary research teams bring together expertise from technology, natural sciences, the humanities, and social sciences, and collaborate closely with industry partners. The teams work to preserve, develop, and restore oceans, coastal regions, and waterways in Norway and the Arctic. Focus Areas are Coastal communities, Exploration and monitoring, Food from the ocean, Ocean Values, and Technology for oceans and coasts.
Fjord Systems
Fjord Systems is the strategic priority area for Ocean and Coast for the coming years and involves all our professional disciplines. The initiative brings together interdisciplinary projects aimed at developing new knowledge and solutions to enhance sustainability, competitiveness, and resilience.
