    Programme components description

The program runs over two years and consists of four semesters.

Choose the year you began studying to see the correct version of the studyplan.

Other students: Please see the MFA programme's online study plan.

It is mandatory to participate in the inter-disciplinary course Experts in Teamwork /(EiT) - a collaboration with other fields of study at NTNU. The advice is to take this course in the 1st year of MFA studies.

For the finals of the 2nd year MFA studies the students are asked to deliver a paper of thesis about their work/project, a portfolio of their works, to present their MFA project/work in a Master exhibition show (exhibition venues vary) and to host a seminar in context of the MFA exhibition.

For the final exam external reviewer(s) is invited and the student is asked to present and defend their thesis and project/work shown at the Master Exhibition.
