The programme extends over two academic years (4 semesters) and constitutes a course load of 120 ECTS credits in a combination of compulsory and elective courses.

• The first and second semester consists of compulsory and elective courses.
• In the third semester you specialize further through your specialisation project areas such as human factors in design, sustainable design, applied aesthetics, healthcare and welfare design, service design or strategic design.
• In the fourth and final semester you write your master thesis, with a duration of 20 weeks.

The thesis may be formulated within 3 main categories:

• Practical (design project)
• Theoretical (specialization project)
• A combination of these
