  MSc in Petroleum Engineering and MSc in Petroleum Geosciences will be replaced by MSc in Geoscience and Georesources from the academic year 2023/24. Read about and find information about MSc in Geoscience and Georesources.

Once you have completed your Masters in either Petroleum Geosciences or Petroleum Engineering, you will be equipped with skills and knowledge that enable you to solve future tasks and challenges related to the exploration and production of oil and gas.

There are great work opportunities within the traditional as well as the future oil industry. Possible work places include Norwegian and international oil companies, consultancy firms and service providers.

A completed master's degree also forms a good basis for a future career as a researcher.
