Teaching and fieldwork

Teaching, fieldwork and workspaces

As a student on Geoscience and Georesources you have lectures, projects, programming and simulation exercises, assignments and laboratory exercises. You often work in groups on projects and assignments. The teaching and learning activities take place at Petroleumsteknisk senter (PTS) in Trondheim.

In courses related to geosciences you get to do field studies and excursions as a part of the teaching. There is also fieldwork in the engineering and technology courses. This is a useful and interesting way of learning about nature and the geological processes.

The learning methods for each course is described in the course description.

There is a lot of workspaces for students at PTS. Students on two years master's programmes are offered their own workspace.
