Job Shadowing

As a student or a PhD candidate, you can shadow one of our alumni at work for a day. Job Shadowing is a unique opportunity to see how your future workday might look and to make valuable contacts. This experience can give you a useful glimpse into working life in your field, and can help you to choose a direction that is right for you.

Registration for Job shadows in 2020 opens: 15 January 2020

Guest lectures and alumni visits

Guest lectures and alumni visits

For guest lectures or presentations, NTNU offers all departments and «linjeforeninger» (academic and social student associations) an opportunity for a visit from a former NTNU student. NTNU Alumni will help you find the right person and can cover travel expenses.

Alumni Compass

Alumni Compass

All our alumni were students once, wondering which career would suit them, which specialization they should choose and where it would be possible to find a job with the skills they had gained from their studies. Through NTNU Alumni, students have access to the experience of our alumni when Alumni Compass is arranged for their programme of study or department. Alumni Compass is a forum for current and former students in the same field. Here, you can get a glimpse into the working day of our alumni, and how they arrived where they are today.

Alumni Compass gives you:

  • Tips and advice from alumni with the same education as you
  • Practice in expressing your own skills in words
  • Help to see the relationship between your education and the working world
  • Understanding of the your subject’s social relevance and which tasks you can help to solve in society.
