About Teaching

About

Shen Yin is a DNV Endowed Full Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, NTNU. He received a Dr.-Ing. and an MSc. from the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany.

 

Research interests: 

  • Fault diagnosis/prognosis and fault-tolerance 
  • Reliability, safety, and security 
  • System and control theory 
  • Data-driven monitoring and optimization 
  • Machine learning and computer vision 
  • Applications on health diagnosis and cyber-physical systems
