Visual Computing

The mission of the Visual Computing Group at NTNU is to research and teach topics that are theoretically interesting and of benefit to our society, within the areas of Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Extended Reality and Visualization, which are jointly called Visual Computing.

Highlighted Research Projects
Mission Mjøsa
Mission Mjøsa is a research programme aimed at enabling value creation through the sustainable use of Mjøsa’s resources and ecosystem services, while at the same time safeguarding the lake’s ecological structure, functioning, productivity, critical infrastructure, and biodiversity.
D4FLY
The project focuses on enhancing the quality and efficiency of identity verification at border crossings in all modalities: land, air, and sea by providing faster and more secure border control solutions.
PERSEUS
PERSEUS aims to educate top-level researchers contributing to solve societal challenges within the areas of energy, healthcare, manufacturing, mobility, and ocean-based technology, through the use of digital technologies.
