Marit Sletmoen belongs to the research group focusing on biopolymers and biomaterials. Ongoing activities are related to the following topics:

• Molecular factors involved in microbial adhesion.
• Protein-glycan interactions.
• Glycosylation changes associated with cancer.
• Single molecule techniques (AFM and optical tweezers).
• Fabrication and study of single cell microarrays (relevant techniques: soft lithography, various types of microscopy, image analysis).
• Coalescence in oil in water emulsions

Competence related to programming is relevant for several of these activities (enabling efficient force curve - and image analysis) and might be performed either by the candidate or in collaboration with colleagues within or outside the group.
