Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), aluminum alloy development
We are seeking postdocs experienced or interested in advanced TEM, who can utilize our infrastructure to its limits and strengthen our team. The TEM Gemini Centre has several TEMs, including a double corrected ColdFEG TEM/STEM with a large angle EDX detector and a Quantum GIF with DualEELS. The TEM group has an internationally recognized TEM activity and several ongoing projects within age hardenable aluminum alloys, including precipitate structures, strain measurements and optimizing properties vs micro/nanostructures. Within this field we have collaboration with several aluminium companies and also an international partnership with Japanese universities and Japanese aluminium industry.
