Master of Science in Globalization and Sustainable Development
Globalization and the increased interconnectedness created by the rapid flow of capital, people, goods, images and ideologies across national boundaries requires a new set of specialized educational tools. The two-year Master in Globalization and Sustainable Development prepares students to analyze the complex interactions between the political, economic, cultural and social trends which are having profound effects on our contemporary world.
Note that there are different deadlines and slightly different application procedures depending on whether you are from an EU/EEA country or not:
- 1 December: If you are from a non-EU/non-EEA country
- 1 March: If you are from EU/EEA country and do not require a visa to study in Norway, or live in Norway and have a personal Norwegian ID-number
This Master's programme is designed to provide its students with the specialist knowledge and transferable skills to pursue careers in global corporations, non-governmental organisations or with international campaigning groups.
The master's programme in Globalization and Sustainable Development involves two years of full-time studies. The workload for a full-time student for one academic year is 60 credits.
The programme is structured around core courses and elective courses (7.5 credits). In addition, the programme consists of an internship (30 credits) and a master's thesis (30 credits).
