The Materials Science and Chemical Engineering programme offers two specializations:

  1. Materials Science and Engineering
  2. Chemical Engineering

All students will have a compulsory course including modeling, data analysis, and applied computational methods relevant to the fields of materials science and chemical engineering.

Students will primarily choose from a list of courses within their elected specialization.

To provide students with broader academic insight, students must additionally choose at least one course from the field of the other specialization in the program. For example, a student from the specialization Materials Science and Engineering must include at least one suitable course from the Chemical Engineering specialization in their study plan.

For the Chemical Engineering specialization, the identity course will be TKP4170 – Process Design, project.
For the Materials Science and Engineering specialization, the identity course will be TMT4155 – Heterogeneous Equilibria and Phase Diagrams.
