Facilities
Your campus will be in the newly built office and teaching building Professor Mørch’s House, surrounded by laboratories and workshops in the Norwegian Ocean Technology Centre, co-located with the research institution SINTEF Ocean.
One of the facilities is the Ocean Basin Laboratory, which is used for studying basic and applied ship and offshore problems. The basin measures 50 x 80 metres with an adjustable bottom, enabling the water depth to be varied from 0 to 10 metres. There are also other hydrodynamic laboratories, structural testing and machinery laboratories available.
In addition, the centre offers excellent facilities specifically for use by students. Each student get their own desk, in rooms for eight to ten people. There is also a large marine technology library with work places.

Study environment
Marine Technology students are part of the student society Mannhullet, which have their own sailboat, motorboat, hiking group, football team, choir, and a lot more.
NTNU has a lot of student organizations driven by and for students – some with technological development as their main purpose – Vortex, Njord Challenge, Revolve, Ascend, Orbit, to name a few.
