Have you had any Earlier relevant jobs? I was a so called Miljøarbeider in Giske municipality.

What do you do at work? What are your tasks?

Coordinating a research project of 600 older adults completing a test battery consisting of CPET, Spirometry, Echocardiography, MRi brain scan, Blood samples, cognitive function,
Short-Physical-Perfomance-Battery and blood pressure. In addition to data collection, my work consists of storing and handling the data we collect for future research work.

What is the best thing about your job?

Logisitics, responsibilty, working with people and physical activity! The best part is motivating the older adults to push them selves on the treadmill and sharing stories with them afterwards.

How did you get this job, and how was your job-seeking process and journey after graduating?

I got this job from my master thesis supervisor after a year-long "job interview".

How do you use skills and knowledge earned from your studies in your job?

Exercise physiology, exercise as medicine, motivational interviewing, clinical methods to evaluate physical and physiological performance.

Did you work either part-time or voluntarily during your studies with something that are relevant for your job today? Did this help you during your job-seeking process after your studies?

I worked as a intern during my master thesis. This was both relevant for my future work but also important to show my academic qualities "on field" whilst being watched by my supervisor closely.
