IT Development Section
Our in-house teams develop and operate customized applications, system integrations, research data platforms, high-performance computing environments, and big-data solutions. Engineers and technical specialists are embedded in selected laboratories and research teams to support software development, data management, infrastructure, and specialised research systems.
Organization
The section is led by Section Leader Stein Stendahl, with the assistence of group leaders Anders Christensen and Christine Sætre.
Groups
The Code Factory Group designs, develops, customizes, and often operates integrations, applications and processes when necessary. The in-house development teams specialize in one or more technology stacks and share operational responsibility for APIs and customized enterprise processes.
The Scientific Data Group assists research projects and research communities with the analysis of large scientific data sets, and participates in national supercomputing and infrastructure initiatives, including Sigma2 / NOTUR / NorStore. Group Leader: Anders Christensen.
Lab Support IT specialists contribute to the operation and management of the systems and equipment in many of NTNU's laboratories.
