On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Research, Statsbygg has prepared a pre-project report for NTNU’s unified campus in collaboration with NTNU and Trondheim Municipality. The co-location of the campus areas Dragvoll, Midtbyen and Gløshaugen will facilitate increased interdisciplinary and better quality in education, research and dissemination. The report was published on 17 December 2018. 

The report explores possible development plots, evaluated against achievement of targets, risks and costs. Volume studies have been worked on, and plot clusters lage enough to bring the entire academic communities together have been found. The report also takes a closer look at energy solutions, such as solar cells and seasonal storage for heat.
