Designing and evaluating AI systems with and for people, focusing on aligning technology with human needs and values

 

 

Situated at the intersection of AI and HCI, we focus on methodologies prioritising the human perspective, ensuring that AI technologies serve as responsive and responsible extensions of human intent and values. We aim to establish guidelines and methods for designing with and for AI-powered systems that align with human needs and values.

AI for Education Group Meeting: Trondheim

On February 24, 2026, the Human Centered AI Lab at NTNU Gjøvik, led by Associate Professor Eleftherios Papachristos, hosted a thematic meeting of the AI for Education group within NTNU Civil Security in Trondheim. The event gathered researchers from all three NTNU campuses to discuss AI in education, share ongoing work, and explore future collaborations across disciplines.
